About this competition shirt
The Cathy is a children's competition shirt from BR's 4-EH line. That is the brand's children's line, with garments cut to children's measurements rather than scaled-down women's sizes. Maddelin carries the white version in size 116, for a child of about six years.
On one point it is better to be plain: what can be confirmed is limited. The Cathy no longer appears on br.nl: it is not in the competition shirts category, not in the search function and not under the barcode. It is an item from the autumn/winter 2024 collection. There is therefore no current manufacturer page giving the fibre composition, the washing instructions, the collar shape or the fastening.
For young riders, the colour is an important matter, and there the rules are explicit. In showjumping, FEI Jumping Rules article 207.2.3.3 lays down that for children and pony riders the whole shirt must be white, not just the collar. In Belgian dressage a white shirt is likewise required for scholars and pony riders. For this age group a white shirt is therefore not only tidy: in many classes it is also what is asked for. Rules differ by federation, discipline, level and country and change from time to time; check the current rulebook of your own federation.
The limitations of this item are big enough to state plainly. There is one size and one colour. Without a manufacturer page, the fibre composition and the washing instructions are not documented, and the care label in the shirt is the source for care. If you want a children's shirt with fully documented fabric data, you are better off choosing a model from a current collection.
