Size guide

A correct size is essential for both comfort and performance in equestrian sports. At Maddelin Equestrian, we are happy to help you choose the right size so that your equipment fits perfectly—whether it's riding apparel, helmets, boots, or accessories.
A well-fitting outfit not only ensures greater comfort but also better performance in the saddle. Clothing that is too tight or too loose can restrict your freedom of movement and affect your aids. Therefore, we recommend always measuring accurately and using our size charts as a guide.
Our size charts are organized by product category and brand, allowing you to choose as precisely as possible. Because fits can vary by brand, you will find specific information with each product to guide you.
How to measure correctly?
For the best results, always measure with a flexible tape measure, close to the body but without tightening.
-
Chest circumference: measure around the widest part of the chest
-
Waist: measure around the narrowest part of your waist
-
Hips: measure around the widest part of the hips
-
Inseam length: measure from groin to ankle
-
Head circumference (helmets): measure just above the eyebrows and ears
-
Calf circumference & height (boots/chaps): measure the widest part of the calf and the height from heel to hollow of the knee
If you are in doubt between two sizes? We usually advise choosing the larger size for extra comfort, unless otherwise stated with the product.
At Maddelin, we believe that the right fit makes all the difference between just riding and truly riding well. Use our size charts as a guide and confidently choose the size that suits you and your horse.
The LeMieux Airflow Sleeveless Base Layer in Fondant is the ultimate choice for riders seeking maximum ventilation and complete shoulder freedom during warm training days. This technical, breathable base layer supports your performance without distraction, allowing you to fully focus on your ride.
The matte, elastic fabric with UV30+ protection shields your skin from the sun during long outdoor sessions. Thanks to the laser-cut, perforated mesh panels on the sides and centrally on the back, airflow is optimized and your body temperature is efficiently regulated. Ideal for intensive dressage training, jumping lessons, or summer trail rides.
The sporty, sleeveless cut provides extra freedom of movement in the shoulders — a great advantage for an independent seat and a still hand. The flattering seam lines subtly follow the contours of your body. The quarter-zip and modern 'cut-on' collar offer a comfortable fit and give this base layer a refined, contemporary look.
The rounded hem sits slightly higher on the hip and is longer at the back, allowing you to wear the top stylishly both untucked or tucked into your riding breeches.
Maddelin tip: Perfect to combine with light summer riding breeches and a technical sports bra for optimal support and ventilation on warm days.
