This bit is suitable for riders striving for a precise, quiet, and clear connection, especially for horses that are sensitive to tongue pressure or have difficulty with standard bits.

About this bit

What Makes This Bit Unique

Drop Cheek Design for Extra Stability
The Drop Cheek model – with a fixed attachment to the bridle – prevents the bit from moving through the mouth. This creates a light, constant pressure on the poll, while the bit remains still in the mouth. The Eggbutt-like sides remain stable against the cheeks, providing extra calm and clarity for rein aids.

Ported Barrel Mouthpiece: Relief from Tongue Pressure
The medium port creates space for the tongue, which is suitable for horses sensitive to tongue pressure. The barrel joint prevents the classic “nutcracker effect” of traditional single-jointed bits, distributing pressure more evenly over the bars.

Independent Rein Action
Thanks to the clever barrel mechanism, you can give precise aids on each side, enabling refined training. The bit's movements adapt to the shape of the mouth, allowing your horse to comfortably find its own balance between tongue and bar pressure.

Technical Specifications

Sizes: 115 mm, 120 mm, 125 mm, 130 mm, 135 mm, 140 mm, 145 mm, 150 mm

Material: Sweet Iron – encourages saliva production for a softer contact

Application: Suitable for dressage, jumping, and daily work

Suitable for: Horses that dislike tongue pressure or struggle with traditional bits

Who This Bit Is Suitable For

Sensitive horses that show a lot of tongue activity
Horses that are restless in the hand with standard bits
Riders looking for a better connection without harsh actions

Order Now at Maddelin

Do you want more calm, clarity, and trust in your communication with your horse Then the Bombers Drop Cheek Ported Barrel Bit is your choice.
